We’re all a little sad

We are all in mourning for Lucky. She died of a respiratory infection about eight days after the birth of the babies. Himself did all that he could and a lovely vet friend of his tried, but she failed as well. However, Lucky gave her babies a good start in life and we have all pitched in and are taking care of them now, not that they need a lot of care for they are growing nice and strong.

The lady vet was what himself calls, a hen’s teeth job, which means she is that rarity, a vet with an open and enquiring mind and she had come down to learn how he does our teeth without anaesthetics. We all thought she was a bit of a cracker as well. Her name is Anne and we are all going to keep in touch with her.

He was boogying again last night, not a pretty sight but leastways, it wasn’t one of us that got used as a tenor sax, it was his long suffering mate, Gorgeous Gavin. As you can see, he got taken out this morning and had his photo taken but as it’s evident that he also got a chance to pick his own, he wasn’t too worried. We note that he scoffed the lot and didn’t bring any back for us, typical of the male species, particularly ones that think they’re the bee’s knees.

We all had a staggering piece of news last week. His friend Janet, in San Diego, who said that her piggies were not into cucumbers, can you believe it. However, one of them looks like she has had a change of heart since she tried her with some and we reckon it’s only a matter of time before the others fall in to line. Cucumber ‘Odd bods’ American guineas. Not liking cucumbers! Mind you these were Californian guinea pigs, so perhaps that could account for it
